Dear Parents –

This Easter season in our Children’s Program we’d like to present our children with an opportunity to help others.

World Relief, a Christian relief agency, aids impoverished people worldwide. While immediate aid is one service provided by this group, other projects include long-term solutions to hunger and poverty. We would like to encourage our kids to purchase baby chicks at $3.00 a piece so that families can feed themselves and earn an income from egg production.

Here’s what we have in mind: Each child who wants to participate will receive an egg carton containing a dozen plastic eggs to take home. He or she should be encouraged to do small chores, for which he/she can be paid a quarter. Each quarter earned can then be put into one of the empty plastic eggs until the carton is full. Once full, the carton can be brought to church to purchase a chick for a needy family.

Egg cartons will be made available beginning, Sunday, March 15^th and final collection will be on Easter Sunday, April 12^th.

Let’s help our kids love Jesus by serving others.
